Overview
Quang Nam is a province in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. Quang Nam is a land rich in cultural traditions with two world cultural heritages, Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary. Quang Nam is also a land of great spirits, which produces many excellent children for the country. With an area of 10,438 km² and an average population of more than 1.480 million people (2015), Quang Nam ranked 6th in area, 19th in population among 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam.
Quang Nam also preserves the unique Champa culture and cultural interference with the outside. Quang Nam tourism not only has the world heritage Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary but also possesses a lot of beautiful beaches, eco-tourism areas and tourist attractions that appeal to many visitors.
Quang Nam has 2 seasons. The rainy season is around September and December when many storms strike and floods happen. You should come here from April to August because this is the most beautiful time in Quang Nam. On the 1st and 14th each lunar month, especially in the Mid-Autumn festival, the special Hoai River in Hoi An will be full of beautiful and colorful flower garlands.
